ok i love coffee. i love to make really really good coffee. you need a french press. you grind (or crushing is better) your fresh coffee beans yourself. put it in your french press (bod-um. 10 bucks at ikea)) and pour boiling water over it.the key really is the perfect grind. if you grind it too fine it will be bitter, too course will be weak. this coffee is soo good that you will drink it all yourself, and regret giving any to anyone else. but by the slim chance that there is some left over... wait till it gets cold and mix it with half a tall glass of chocolate milk, or if you have Kahlua mix it with milk and Kahlua. soo soo good. and perky.

Coffee is great. With the cold coffee, chocolate milk and kahlua mix, I would add a shooter of vodka. Spices it up a little bit more.
Good picutre, btw.

Mmmm coffee. i am a lover of bodems but i unfortunately bought a cheap one (can't remember where..) that just made awful coffee so i'm back to the machine. There's a science to them bodems, i tell ya. I will have to pick up one of those Ikea ones if you can vouch for it. Has anyone invented a bodem with batteries that keeps warm?

i add a shot of rum if i feel like spiking it abit more, as kahlua already has rum in it, and it mixes well. i'll try the vodka next time.

yeah i still have trouble with getting the right grind. i just made some that is too bitter. you have to end up with a bunch of the beans whole, that way you know it wont be too bitter. i can't imagine a high quality bodum making any better coffee than a cheap one, as the design is so simple. if you could get a coffee bean crusher then it is supposedly much easier to get the beans just perfect.

OK OK OK! have i got something to share with you! this is a really really really good idea (yes 3 reallys). so this is what you do with your left over/cold coffee (put it in the fridge after it has cooled on the counter).

take a giant glass and pour about a third full with chocolate milk (make it extra extra chocolaty), then take your cold coffee and fill it up the next third and if you have some vanilla around the house throw a splash of that in there, maybe some kahlua too. then... are you ready for this? get out the vanilla ice cream and spoil yourself. fill up the rest of the glass with ice cream. oh shoot, you're going to love this one. so so good. its an ice cream coffee float. kristine and i had them this morning when we got up and you are jealous so go make yourself one!
